How close to reality is a shed skin?

kcaj Mar 21, 2006 06:10 AM

Hi all, I was just wondering if anybody had an idea as to how accurate a shed is to the actual size of the snake? Is the shed usually longer than the snake? Or is it shorter?

Sheds I've observed have always been considerably longer than the snake.
