Just wanted to share too. We had one day last week that was warm enough to take turtles outside for real sunshine. My Pom is the turtle guardian and helps me keep an eye on anyone thinking of going AWOL.

steffke.....looks like your furbaby is taking his job very seriously! I'm sure he does let you know if the boxies decide to take a "hike". I will be so glad when this weather settles down to one mode and is warm all the time! I am dying to get my boxies back into their summer routine. Your pictures are nice. I am going to have to get some posted on here someday I guess. That way you all can see what my "crew" looks like. .....9boxies

Can't wait to see them!
Posting photos here is a little confusing at first but the instructions in the photo gallery link are pretty clear. I had to go back & resize the first one I ever posted, it was gigantic lol but after I got it down to size the rest were a lot easier to get posted.
I am not a computer whiz so I know that if I could figure it out, others can too.

These are great! Thanks for posting them.
I see your dog does what mine does, good dog!
Before we had a better fence my dog would alert me if a "stranger" turtle broke in but he'll guard the ones that are supposed to be here lol.

Yes he's very "pack" oriented. If they are part of our pack he's vigilent. We have 2 cats in our homw, but the neighborhood strays are not part of the pack so they are fair game. He hasn't caught one yet, hopefully he won't. He did catch a squirrel though. He was so proud he tried to bring it into the house to show it off! Fortunately we don't get "stranger" turltes trying to break into our yard.

We only had a "stranger" turtle break in once. It was back when all our fencing including the pen with females in it was see-through. I think the male turtle broke in because he knew the girls were here.
The dog went nuts trying to get me to come see the turtle.
The whole episode was pretty funny.

It's great when the dog does his or her job. They feel so proud of themselves when they do that.
