I have two 04 girls over 1000g that decided to stop eating recently. They both have not eaten in almost a month and I'm wondering why this is the case. They both shed last week, which would explain why they would not take a rat a couple of weeks ago, but since shedding they both have not eaten.
I know 3 weeks isnt that long, and they are not underweight at all, but both of these girls have been really strong eaters for us and I'm wondering why they aren't eating anymore. I've got summer temps going right now and conditions seem to be perfect inside their tubs.
Should I wait another week before trying? They had previously eaten live/killed rats in the 100-150g range once a week. Maybe I should try putting in a rat pup or two just to trigger the feeding response? Then again, I don't want them getting used to eating these small meals...
Help ease a worried mind! I would really appreciated any advice. Thanks in advance.
