It Worked!!!!

I'm so amazingly excited, just wanted to share the news. Last year I mated a vanishing patterned amel with a ghost het motley, and came out with a very wierd looking corn snake (pictured below). The dad of the two, the vanishing pattern, was ill for about three months. Went to a vet, got injections for him, but for the longest time, it didn't look good at all.

Last two weeks, he's been eating like a champ. This week, however, is the best sign he's made a full recovery! He started mating with the ghost again! He's back to being alert, and better yet, kinda randy!

I've never really watched corns mate, but I think my boy is really bad at it. The female is quite a bit bigger than him, and he's just crawling all over her, jerking and moving his tail like crazy. This normal? Every other time I've mated, all of twice, I never really got the chance to watch, it just sort of happened. Right now, Jay (the dad) is crawling all over the top of the mom, from head, back down to tail, back up to the head, making sure he stays on top of her. I'm guessing this is normal behavior, right? Here's to hoping they have hella cool babies again!

Any replies on mating behavior would be apprecaited.

Okay i cannot say i am an expert of any means but, when i put my corns together there is similar behaviour the male chaches the female pins her head down with his then slowly twitches his tail to line up with hers then tries to wrap around it. Hope this helps
