I must say Stones is looking great, you can see a noticeable difference. I am still worried for Sticks however. She just doesn’t look hot at all. I see those pictures and see that dent in her head and it just makes me tense up all over. Good luck man and yes please keep us informed

Have you tried cricket-mulch? Just put one egg yolk and some soft small crickets (be sure to break of the head and the two back legs) in the blender and blend them well together. Egg yolk is nutrionally balanced with calcium and vitamin. You could then force feed it with a serigne. You can open up her mouth by pressing some small skewer or popsicle stick against her lips; this should make instincitively gape open her mouth. I hope I'm write about trying to make her mouth open! Maybe others can shed some light on this!

Anyhow, it looks like she is doing a lot better if she is eating.

well they both look just a hair bigger but it is a noticable hair! i really hope they come arround that is great! update us again soon! i might just be a big softy but it makes me really happy when i know someone is trying, even if it doesnt all work out.

fattiesnleos Mar 21, 2006 10:34 PM

if you are that is great, but if you arent you should dust the worms with vitamin, mineral, and calcium dust. just an after thought.

TonyZ Mar 21, 2006 10:41 PM

yes i am, i figure the vitamins are just as important as the protiens right now

Try This!

G3 Slurry: Slurry to help stimulating the feeding response of Non-eating Geckos
By: Marcia McGuiness www.goldengategeckos.com

In a blender, combine:
1 small can Hill's A/D pet food (available at most vets)
1/4-1/3 cup Ensure (not chocolate)
1 jar baby food squash
1/4-1/3 cup Pedialite
2 crushed tablets or contents of 2 capsules Milk Thistle (herbal supplement, liver purifier, found at most drug stores.)
1/2 tsp. each calcium powder and herp vitamin powder
1 large handful of mealworms, added slowly while mixture is blending
Puree all ingredients until completely smooth, and pour into ice cube tray(s) and freeze. Store cubes in zip-lock bag in the freezer until ready to use, then thaw out 1 cube at a time and store in fridge for 2-3 days. I use the empty baby food jar for this purpose, washing it thoroughly after each batch.

*Lately, I have been adding about 1 Tblsp. T-Rex Gargoyle MRP to each new thawed out cube.

Using this mixture, draw a full dropper (1 ml. eye dropper type) and place a drop on the gecko's nose. It will start to lick it off, and as it does, slowly squeeze out a little at a time. Most geckos love this food, and will lap it up. Patience is the key here.

**NOTE: Do NOT tell anyone in your household you put mealworms in the blender!

She is looking better, you can see a difference already. It seems like she is doing good. You said that the other one is doing good too?? I say good because like you said, if she is getting anything to eat at all, that is great. Keep us updated, I sure would like to see how she does long term. It will be so exciting if she gets to a point where she can eat a littl eon her own and her tail starts to pudge up a bit. Good Luck.
