New enclosure

matthewschaefer Mar 21, 2006 10:41 PM

I constructed a frame around this 6'long x 2'wide x 2' high stock tank to attach a hinged lid, keep the enclosure off the ground, and to attach casters wheels should I need to move the enclosure. I have to add another light, a stack so my black-throat can regulate his temperature, and moisten the soil. He will outgrow this too soon, I fear, he is already three feet long.

Sorry for my late reply. I'm getting married on May 27th and last week was Katie's spring break, so I put a hold on reptile matters. We're very excited and she's growing more accepting of the matter of reptiles moving into her house after May 27th. We have even begun discussing building a new addition onto the garage for display purposes of the reptiles. Concerning the Ackies, I am not sure what sexes I have quite yet, but I'm very pleased to have purchased them a few months ago.
I did go to the show last Sunday, the 19th. Someone was selling a young female red Ackie and I also looked at a male Prehensile-Tailed Skink. He was being sold for $150. It was a smokin' deal, but I didn't bite. It was pretty well attended, but nothing that jumped out at me.
Where did you get those Freckled Monitors. They are awesome. I'd love to see some more pictures.
