bell patterns? photo in photo section

bbrandonsmom Mar 22, 2006 10:57 AM

Hi, I posted my photo in the photo section. I found one other bell that looks like her, she has no real pattern. She's a little more yellow now that she's shed, but still, she has almost a normal spotted pattern. Most of the other bells I see have a pattern to them. Is this normal? Anyone here work with bells?

That's what I was thinking for her pattern. To be more specific, most bells I see have a yellow then purple banded pattern to them, while she has no bands, only is mostly yellow and transparent with the reddish spotting. I hadn't thought about the banding when I was looking at the group I chose her from, as only one had banding, but was a baby. I'm wondering if her babies will have banding, or will the normal spotting be dominant coloration?

Babies/juvies have bands/patterns. The bands turn into spots as they grow. She is a normal pattern, before all her spots came in she also had bands.
