When my whites tree frog is "sleeping" he always has his eyes slit and not completely shut....i read there could be something wrong with his environment if this is happeneing....what could this be from?

I also own 2 dogs and 2 cats!
I don't think I've ever seen my white's, or any frog for that matter, sleeping with the eyes completely shut.
But I really haven't been looking for it. It seems that I either seem them with eyes wide open, or partially closed with the pupils like slits.
Just an observation.
Most frogs (particilarly nocturnal ones) posess a "third eyelid" or nictating membrane that covers the eye. When they sleep there eyes might look like they are slit, but this transparent cover should be covering them. If it is not this could be signs of a genetic disease, or an illness. If you take your frog in for a checkup or post a good quaility picture I would be able to help you more.
