Does anyone out there still callem CHONDROS? Is "gtp" used only on the computer?
At shows, symposiums and gatherings with fellow chondro lovers they are most often referred to "chondros" in my experience.
The last couple of years I have also noted a swing to "gtp" by myself and several others online. I believe "gtp" is more "scientifically correct" and for me personally, I don't want to confuse newcomers to this species.
Hopefully people getting into "gtps" will affectionately adopt the term "chondro" also.

I use both. Chondros when I'm talking with someone about them, and GTP for posting stuff. It's just faster. The correct term, Morelia Viridis is way too cumbersome unless you're writing a scientific paper, or labeling your snake picture with species names.

Hahaha this is the first time I have ever spelled Morelia Viridis and I have never once in my life said it... Chondro all the way for me. I only type GTP if I am writing to someone new to the hobby

Im with you dude (dudette)? Chondropython is the way to go, I dont care what the taxonomists say. Just something about the word chondropython sounds as cool as the snake it names.
