Babies Hatching.. New cross for 2006

Mystical-Dragons Mar 23, 2006 12:28 PM

These little cuties are just 6 hours old, and were begging me to let them out of the incubator. I opened up to five little buggers wanting out

these babies are from a first ever breeding of Allakasam X Kiaha. Allakasam is nice full body orange/red, and Kiaha is a very light Hypo Pastel X Hypo Orange. out of the five that have hatched it looks like two of them seem to have their daddy's coloring. two are mixes, and that one in the pic just has his baby grays as he's still moist from hatching. At this age it's so hard to know what you've got. They change so much over the next 8 weeks.

Thanks for checkin out my new babies!! hope you think they are as cute as I do..Here are a couple pics of the proud mommy, daddy, and their new cute babies

Wow Matthew! That last little one looks to be a screamer.....I can't wait to see what he/she looks like at 6-8 weeks. Congratulations.

Thanks Wendy!! I got a few screamers like that from this cross. I really liked the surprise of crossing the high colored red/orange to light hypo colored dragons.. You never really know what your going to get when you do this kinda breeding. Some light like mom, some fully saturated color like dad, and then a mix of everything in between. Gives you something for everyone that's for sure.

I did one other breeding like that this season with Buddy my clear nailed white hypo pastel, and Gwen my holdback from foster x candy.. A Herbie sibling I may keep one from each cross, and breed for clear nailed hypos those allakasam x kiaha are possible hets, so it's a lottery basically lol. If it does work they should be really bright colored, strong clear nailed hypos with those genetics.
Anyway thanks for checkin out my babies. Good Luck with yours this season. Hope we both have another successful season
