Extremely Light colored Bolivian Boas --

roninluv Mar 23, 2006 01:08 PM

I am looking to find out who has the lightest colored bolivian boas. I have noticed how some are darker and some are nearly a cream in color . I am very interested in getting one. SO any breeders out there that have super light ones??? Please let me know

Thank You

in high demand, and there are very few litters produced (relatively speaking).

Barry Miller has a beautiful Blonde line, one of my personal favorites. Kevin Barnett produces some exceptional Orange Crush (Terry '86 X '89 line), they have more color than a cream amarali but are very nice. You may also want to check with Lee Barrie, or Dennis Sargent. Gus Rentfro may have some this year, and if I remember correctly his breeders are very light colored.

Here is a picture of my Blonde from Barry's '03 litter. Is this what you have in mind?

Baby amarali are usually grey or silver. You will have to go by past results from the breeder, and what the parents look like. They will undergo a drastic ontogenetic color change as they mature, and may look much different than you expect. My OC is still changeing, while he has a lot of color on his sides and belly, I expect his back will turn a brownish-purple.

Constrictors Northwest. I don't own it, it is a friend of mine's. It is fantastic in person.
