thebig_j Mar 23, 2006 02:59 PM

Yesterday morning I had my first hook-up ever and was wondering how long it usually takes to get some eggs if infact she did get fertalized. I just bought an incubator because My leopard geckos laid eggs this morning. just wondering mostly how long till i have eggs and how many and what temps to incubate them at.

thanks

congradulations!!!
corns lay eggs after about 5 weeks their numbers range from 12-30 so it really depends on the size of the female and how many clutches. i incubate at 82-85 f but it can very with out problems, just stay away from low 70's and keep away from 90.

Look for Kathy Loves cornsnake books. Both of them will be the reference materials you need. Also keep posting here.....you will learn alot from everyone here. I do not post often as I read EVERY day and when I have a questoin I look for related posts....but If I need to I know I can get alot of responses/opinions etc from here. Good luck!

Pictures are always better than descriptions. Motleys have a pure white bellies with an occasional fleck of black. Does your snake have pink or pinkish-white checkers instead of black? That would be an albino or amelanistic (amel). Motleys also have round designs instead of the basic saddles. I will show a pick or tao of my motleys for you to compare

The brown one in the first pic is a motley. The black one is an anery and the red/white is an amel(albino). I have a pic of a yearling motley. I will have to up load it.
