My snake is doing great with eating. He is almost 5 months old and is still eating pinkies every 5 days. When can I move up to fuzzies? Right now I feel fuzzies are a bit too big for him, but I need advice. Thanks

Judge the size of the mouse by the width of the snake. There should be slight to no bump in the belly.

What is the rush , He looks fine. Most captive snakes are over fed in a lot of cases. Eat, Excreate , Feed .
Also with too large of meal run run a risk of Regurgitation which is NOT GOOD. In nature it may be weeks or longer before a meal happens along. Better to have a good lean muscle mass than too fat.
More so with females as this causes problems with reproduction. Womas & Blackheaded pythons in particular don't do well if even a little over weight . Their natural enviroment does not provide them an abundance of prey .

I find chondros to be infrequent excreters (as you put it). If I fed my older chondro only after she pooped, I'd only feed her once a month. I feed her once a week but if she looks big, I don't feed her until she goes. The baby seems to go all the time though, so you could probably use the excrete and feed method there.
