Red Group Pastel and Coral Albino Photos

sdi Mar 23, 2006 06:45 PM

I got the Red Group from Alex Smith at Alienna's Pet World. She is an '04. I had some extra time today so I decided to shoot some new photos. About all I know about indoor photos is if I used the flash or not. I think the photos are pretty accurate even though the paper towell looks over exposed.

Indoors with flash.

Without flash indoors.

Natural light in the sun room.

I got this coral female from Pete Kahl. She is also an '04 and I was able to get a couple of decent photos.

Indoors with flash.

Indoors without flash.

Shedding a couple weeks ago.

Hope you enjoyed the pics.

Nice snakes! Is A pet world a qood store? I've never been there yet. I live in San Francisco so if I go east bay it's usually E.B.V. How do the two compare?Thanks..John

is a good guy, and has some incredible boas. He is known for his beautiful Peruvians and Colombians. He recently opened up the store.

Alex is a friend of mine and a great guy. He just opened his store in Fremont. It is not as big as EBV, but worth the trip. Alex is a great guy to talk to and full of information.

Alex is a great guy. I still want to visit his shop as well. He has some amazing boas there.

I live in Michigan and have never been to Alianna's (sp?) Pet World or East Bay. I can tell you I had a great experience in dealing with Alex and he has some killer bci and bcc. I would recommend checking his store out simply because of what I have seen him post here.

I have seen alot of snake owners use similar enclosures. I was just wondering after seeing the shedding pic. Don't boas need something to rub the skin off?

I think the proper humidity level is the most important issue. It does make it easier for them to shed if there is something like a rock or branch to facilitate the process. However I have observed them during the shedding process and noticed they can use pretty much any surface to begin the process. When they are ready as long as they have proper humidity levels they can use the side of the cage or water bowl to peel back the face and their body and the side of the cage for the rest.

Great looking animals Steve! I love the cleanliness and contrast of that pastel.
