but i am finally here!

it said on mapquest that it was 2 hours and 38 minutes to fairfax from here, but for some reason it seemed like alot less time to me i don't know how i have only had one ticket in my life.

anyway, well after having a nervous breakdown and crying, my parents called their friend and he gave me the number of an exotics hospital in fairfax virginia. i was to the point where i was going to make steve, the friend, do a culture and then fax the info to my old vet in san diego and pay BOTH of them for their time.

so i get there and the vet lectures me for treating my lizards with panacur without getting a fecal done first and then scares the crap out of me. in like one sentence he went from trying another antibiotic to having surgury to remove the areas. so then he leaves for awhile trying to get a hold of the other vets i have seen to see how much the baytril was diluded.

he was gone for a long time and when he came back, he wasn't so scary. he drew blood and took a sample from one of the blisters. i have to wait a couple days for the blood work BUT he said from what he could see from that one blister, it's mostly blood with a few inflamed somethings mixed in, which meant there wasn't that much of a secondary infection going on. he gave me bactrim once a day orally and i have to go back in a week and from the lab results and her reaction to the meds, then see if we need to remove the areas.

once the labs are in, i will let you know what they say. if you go back down to my original post, you can see how much these things have progressed in a matter of two days, these pics are from yesterday, and it is even worse today.

I don't know what your situation is because I haven't been here in a while, but I think its cool you drove so far for the lizard. Some people wouldn't even walk down the street.
