Since there seems to be increased interest in CB emeralds of late, just thought I would bring up this point for those new to the hobby. Some exporters are now holding and breeding animals at their facilities, then importing neonates into the U.S., where they are then sold as CB. While the CB designation is true, an uninformed person might think they were getting an animal born in the U.S., instead of a neonate that had undergone the stress of international shipping, then being shipped again to various dealers around the country, receiving who knows what kind of care during the process. Always ask questions and never assume anything, even more so when buying from a dealer/broker and not directly from a breeder.
