I have to teach my CalKing to do that. He tends to be very nervous when eating, so maybe it wouldn't work. Still, it might be worth a try.

Your guy is nice. It's interesting to see the growth. Mine was an adult when I bought him last year, so I don't have a good feel for growth.

It's not how many snakes you have. It's how happy and healthy you can keep them.

The pair that produced him are back together right now. Actually they have been together since Monday. I hope I get more of the spotted look this year.

Well the Lil King is resting, enjoying peaceful, warm and appropriate 'digs' for a change! I'm letting him hide and just get used to the sounds around my house (ya know Rob Zombie and the like! haha) and the sound of my voice. I believe that the first stage in my successful rescue of the Lil King is that he acclimate to an environment that is conducive to his thriving and that he come to be confident based upon being safe, ya know? I don't even care if someone out here chooses to beat me up for coming at this from a more emotional, herp-as-a-pet side of things, I do believe that in this rescue patience and perserverance are going to be my two best tools in 1)putting weight on him 2) building his confidence 3) establishing trust, no matter the level established and 4) handling him to the point that in time, he will come to associate my scent with 'safe haven' and just be the beautiful baby that he is!

You know me Jetzen, this rescue is challenging and exciting for me as well as a true learning experience!

My oldest boy is a soldier in the Army and he comes home on leave in 2 weeks, he's very interested to see mom's newest addition to the family!

Once I feel he's rested enough, I'll be posting more pics!

JETZEN Mar 25, 2006 09:06 PM

JUST kidding! i have both of his movies, At this very moment i'm listenin to the original 1st "Black Sabbath" album. Before that i listend to "Alice in Chains" Jar of Flies, And next will be Alice in Chains/Nothing Safe and then some Sabbath/Paranoid.

Well, anyway, it looks like the lil king is headed for a long and healthy life and give your kids my regards.

Your bud,

Hey thats sik! A snake hanging out on snake books!! I had a hard time finding a copy of the Devil's Rejects, but I finally did, cost me $30!! But yeah, I needed to get it because I've just about worn the first one out, watching it regularly. It's always a fun one to show a new beau, gives 'em something to think about thats for darn sure LMAO!! The only other funnier thing to do with a new beau or even a date thats brought ya home & is overstaying th-bringing-you-home-welcome-in-for-a-quick- drink thing is bringing out one of the herps to crawl and climb around! The "beau" starts by moving to the FAR END of the room and looking at their watch & before you know, they've heard their mom calling and they gots to go. ROFLMAO!!! I love my snakes, there is more than one pleasure in having them around. haha!

HaHa! Well you see my friend, you men that frequent the forum at exgraordinary and what of what I speak is your 'average, common man' that is scared to death of snakes!
But I appreciate and can relate to your sentiment just the same. I've not met a man that's too interested in me and my herps! LOL

Oops, aside from the bad spelling/grammar, I didn't mean to attach that pic of me, I was only moving the cursor around; my apologies to all!!

cindy

wftright Mar 26, 2006 02:28 PM

No apology is necessary. There's nothing wrong with posting a picture of yourself, and that's a nice picture. Think about how many times we've seen a picture of Jetzen's hand and forearm.

guy get into our conversation? Anyway, we were talking about Rob Zombie, What did you think of House of a Thousand Corpses. I thought the clown was funny, lol!

cindygurl60 Mar 27, 2006 07:50 AM

I LOVE ROB ZOMBIE and I love House of 1000 Corpses! I thought it was more gory and gruesome than The Devils Rejects but I like Rejects too, it seemed to have more humor in it than "House of" did. The clown is just a wierd, sick bastard! That's scary stuff. In House of 1000 Corpses my favorite character was Baby, the sick lil girl played by Zombie wife (that woman is HOT!). But what about Dr. Satan taking that girls father's face and making a mask out of it! "Who's your daddy?!" Wooooo!!

JETZEN Mar 27, 2006 06:11 PM

Yeah, the clown is weird he sure made me laff tho, lol!
What's really weird about him is at the end of the movie he shows up in his caddy and the girl thinks she escaped, then dr. satan pops up from the backseat.
And i agree Rob's wife is about the "HOTTEST" w/o a doubt!!!

cindygurl60 Mar 27, 2006 08:21 PM

and that clowns teeth?! I mean thats some scary stuff! In the 2nd movie that clown was the ring leader and still had the nastiest teeth I've ever seen on a man! Ewwwwwwwww
