This has probably been hashed over but..

I have a dragon that is 8mos old and weighs 240grms. He is a picky eater. Sometimes he will eat 20 or so crickets and sometimes he just sets there and lets then walk all over him. He runs through his greens and spreads it all over, and I do not know if he eats any. I read so much about impaction so I changed his floor from sand to ceramic flooring. He is in a exo terra lizard cage , glass, 3'X 1.5', he has a 75 W basking bulb that is 9" from his basking spot. He has a UVB tube on the top that is an 8.0. I guess he is ok, I just wish he would eat better. I also have white styrofoam 3/4" on the outside around his cage to keep draft or cold air away. If there is anything else I need to do, please let me know.
I used to keep snakes and still have a few, but I am really becoming more fond of my dragon and may like to turn the snake cages into dragon cages.
Thanks
Nancy

My Zilla has always been on the small side and has ALWAYS been a picky eater. He's shorter, but he looks well filled out and his fat pads look good. I guess he's getting what he needs. He's a year and a half old and seems to be doing well.

I really think they are individual beings. I have an older dragon at school who is a wonderful eater.

Just like kids I guess. LOL
