first eggs of the season

draybar Mar 24, 2006 07:52 PM

My snow, Glacier, laid thirteen eggs today.
A little less then normal, she gave me 21 last season and 17 the season before but that's ok.
I bred her to a little bit younger male this season and I am not overly surprised by the number.
I bred her to a beautiful amel motley I got from Darin a couple of seasons ago.
So, I should get some pretty little amels het anery het motley.
Dad, Gimli followed by mom, Glacier

Congratulations!
My female is still holding out on me. 47 days! Not even a prelay shed yet! She has been in her egg-box for the last week. She hasn't eaten for two weeks. How much longer? Her eyes got cloudy about a week ago, so any day now!

First to breed, first to get eggs. I guess they go hand in hand!
Congrats!
My female started lightening up about two days ago. She is the one that I posted the dramatic color change pics of. Hopefully soo. To shortly be followed by my cal king and my amazingly black anery corn bringing up the rear!

Don't forget, Jimmy...Gimli's Dad was a snow motley, so some snows ought to be in the mix too!

I'll be looking forward to some pics of the "grandkids"!
