We have had them about a week. We have been feeding them and putting cuttle bone on there food. They are getting soft. I mean not just the bottom of there shell but all over. Please help if you can. Thanks-James

That seems awfully fast especially if you are sure they we good when you got them. I would say that you want to immediately focus on basic husbandry issues. Ideally what they eat already has good calcium to phosphate ratios (ie, prickly pear cactus) or you are supplementing daily feedings of grasses with calcium with the D3 component. This is all done in the context of daily access to direct sunlight or longer term access to a high watt merc vapor lamp with good UVB output. Softening of the shell only occurs when the above are not provided. Fortunately these changes can be made fairly easy. Good luck.
