Sealing Heat Tape

rugha Mar 25, 2006 08:28 AM

I have the shop guy at my school building two custom, furniture quality wood cages. I have covered the bottom with fiberglass resin and considering laying heat tape down and sealing it to the bottom. Does anyone see a danger to that? Heat tape will be attached to a dimmer switch.

Thanks!

You can seal flex in any application you like(nothing wet). The only danger is having 2 super nice cages(fiberglass floors) and then controlling the ehat with a dimmer????
