It's an addiction..I went 3 years without them then thought I could have just one and could quit again anytime, but....I know people here will agree...it becomes an obsession with some..I bought 1 corn and 1 ball last summer.....now I have 4 balls, 3 corns, 1 western hog and 1 striped cali king...just finished a rack system for sterilites and am still expanding...LOL they are all so much fun for slightly different reasons, balls do go off feed but that tends to be more of a patience issue for the owner.....I still dont know wich I like more so I'll keep getting more of each until I decide

I agree its an addiction, ummmm maybe you should decide witch you like before buying them so you don’t have a bunch of snakes you end up not liking? Anyway my name is Jason and I am a snakeoholic, LOL

I cant decide what is the most favorite of mine...hell I've even considered starting a reptile rescue just because I love caring for all types regardless of species, temperment, ailments,etc...I could spend all day cleaning cages, feeding, administering meds, rehabing etc. and love every minute of it. The sadest part would be parting with the animal when a GOOD new owner is located!!

If thats your aditude you might want to consider somthing in that field, I have a similar aditude twards conservation and went into business last year removing Rattle Snakes that were being encroched apone. Basicaly the deal was I took them or they killed them and the people actualy payed me to take them because they realy didnt want to kill them, Unfortunatly I found this was not legal so I had to stop. I am still awaiting the permision from CDFG

Unfortunately, most people want to get rid of Burmese pythons and big green iguanas. And we get a certain number of red ear sliders and scruffy w.c. ball pythons that won't eat. We get few others from time to time, but those account for about 90% if it, and they often prove very difficult to find homes for.

Many come in with health issues, but luckily one of our members works for an exotic vet and gets a good deal on vet care. But some have to be put down. And others will never find homes, just like many of the abondoned cats and dogs. If we mainly got unwanted corns, boas, and healthy BPs, they would be very easy to place and it would be fun. But that is not what we usually get. It is all pretty sad.
