Breeding

I know I'm breeding my dragons kind of late, but they came out of brumination late, and I wanted to feed them up well first. Yesterday I put the female and male in a neutral area, and they bred right away, no problem. Today I thought maybe I should put them together again to be sure it took well. I put them together, the male grabbed her, and she shook him off. Then she charged and head-butted him. She was really mad, it took awhile to calm her down (then I had to fish the male out from under the couch where he hid).
My question is, should I leave well enough alone? They definitely bred that first time. My poor male has quite a bruised ego right now.

try keeping them in the same cage for awhile, they will probably do their breeding action sooner or later
