Out of the 4 balls we have 4 different eating habits lol. one likes live in a paper bag closely monitored of course. one likes to eat f/t rats in cage after we go to sleep. one seams to be going back to live mice. have not tried live weaned rats yet because they are not up to size yet lol. one is eating f/t rats no problem lol. gota love it.

What fun would it be if I didnt have to spend a few hours a week tracking what ate when, what ate what, and what didnt eat!

Sure I have a few that eat, no matter what. Thats just to easy!

I have one (900 gram) that eats a medium rat every 10 days exactly but will not even look at it on day 9, one only eats live large rats (she's almost 2500 grams), one '05 eats only thawed mice with a rat pup afterwards but will not eat the rat pup first!! And my larger male (1900 grams) only eats large live mice (retired breeders), about 4 at a time but always snubs the fifth. And of course they can never all eat on the same day. I can't imagine having ten or more balls that all have different feeding schedules..LOL

All things considered, these posts make me feel thankful for my girl. In spite of my changing things around on her occasionally, she's kept eating. I'm currently in the f/t in a bag phase, but she's done well enough with other regimes. She also hit 200 grams the other night. Of course, she hasn't defecated in a while, so she may drop again when she goes. I have 40 weaned rats on order. Some of them will be too big for her right now, but some should be just right. They'll be the biggest meals that she's taken, and I hope that she'll start growing even more when she gets them.

It's not how many snakes you have. It's how happy and healthy you can keep them.

She should do fine with size. I think we will do the same thing when our little girl hits 200 mark gota love it
