i thought he would go for a swim ... that didn't work ! he's grey now! i don't know if u can tell by the pic, this is his first shed.

If he's due to shed you really don't want to be trying to get him to swim right now, it's bound to be stressful and thats the last thing you want when he's in shed. If he needs a soak use shallow water that comes to about half way up his body and take him out if he gets freaked by it. Best thing you can do is give him a humid hide and leave him to get on with it. A stressed snake will not have a good shed.
