The world's first ever triple hybrid....

HighEndHerpsInc Mar 26, 2006 07:50 AM

....Diamond/Jungle Carpet/West Papuan (or irian jaya). I just got eggs last night and they look great. I will post pictures a little later if anyone is interested in seeing them. I took some of the jungle/diamond female on them just prior to stealing them from her.

This triple cross should make an amazing looking hybrid as the color spectrum between the three species is just out of this world. All three also have very bizarre and erratic patterns too and so this hybrid can only be incredible.

I know of at least one breeding of Diamond Capret Macklots and I have hatchlings from a Charpondro and diamond cross. So much for the "all hybrids are sterile" haters!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats on your success. I also really like the NERD woma IJ carpet cross, now they just need to introduce a dwarf retic into that combo.

No, I meant the first of these three species in a mix. I was/am aware of the mackie/carpet/chondro a couple years ago. Sorry for any confusion and thanks for the congrats. Same back atcha on your diamond carpondros. And I agree about the myths surrounding the alleged sterility of hybrids. I have had great successes with hybrid breedings, though I have noticed a lower fertility rate, I have yet to experience any 100% infertile or sterile animals.
