Kinked Tails?

I have spoken with several different fellow herpers and I am getting different answers as to kinked tails is genetic. Any ideas from you guys would be helpful.
Wasn't a problem for me until I received three female Murphy's patternless het for tremper. Two out of three I received had kinked tails. Will this pass to the hatchlings?
