yearling pics....

wisema2297 Mar 26, 2006 02:44 PM

Can some of you post pics of your 05 balls and include weight? I am trying to see how mine compares generally in size to the others out there. I'm assuming most hatched around July? This is just to assure me that I am feeding mine properly and giving the proper care to them. Thanks.

Here she is.

I've also posted her growth chart, but I need to do an updated version. She just hit 200 grams a day or two ago. She qualifies as legitimately small. From everything I'm hearing, she's not so small that she's unhealthy, but she's a little girl.

Please post your data as well. I'm trying to collect this kind of data and do some comparisons. Some of the best data on the web is at thereddragonsden.com/. Cheryl is a frequent contributor on the forum and has provided a very nice comparison of numerous snakes that she raised staring in 2003.

I'm in the process of trying to do some statistics on Cheryl's data. I've been working with a friend of mine who has done quite a bit of statistics in his research, and I need to run everything by him to ensure that I explain the data correctly. I'd also like to include as much data from other people as I can. Eventually, I'll produce some charts showing where the numbers fall.

Thanks,

Bill

thanks for all the responses, I feel better now since my 05 male has just broken the 400 gram mark and ate his first small rat with out a "teaser mouse".

Visual Morphs?....I love the normal looks. You can't improve on nature, you can only produce "interesting deviations".

I'll put you on the graph when I make it. I think your guy will be in the middle of the pack, but I don't remember. I hope to post on this topic soon. If I'm very lucky, it'll be a couple of days. If not, it'll be a couple of weeks.

Thanks,

Bill

pic #2 a female spider born in early 05 i beleive it was Feb, she eats sm-md rats and weighs 590 grams.
pic#3 2 pied females

I bought home this baby Albino on 9/11/05. He was 4 weeks old and 111 grams.
He is now about 5 1/2 months and 618 grams.
He ate like a pig for the first 3 1/2 months, but hasn't taken a meal in almost 2. I could only image how big he'd be if he didn't start refusing meals.

I hope this picture shows up, I've been having problems.

Thanks,
Ken

I see the picture just fine. I also thank you for the weight data. I'm working on putting all kinds of data together into a chart. So far, it looks pretty interesting. The explanation will take some time because I'm doing some statistics and working them through a buddy who uses statistics more frequently than I do. When I get something worthwhile, I'll post it here.
