Temp problems?????

Kinglvr Mar 26, 2006 06:03 PM

My Sumatran Blood ALWAYS stays in her moss bowl in the 10 gallon acquarium that I keep her in. The moss bowl isn't directly under the heat source, but it's pretty close and the hot spot stays at 89-92 which I thought was perfect. So where she is (ALWAYS, literally)is probably about 85 degrees or so. I keep the moss moist, so I'm assuming that's the main reason why she stays in, but is this something I should worry about? She's eating good (well, today she didn't wanna eat but the last 4 times she's eaten well)and she doesn't have any RI's that I can see.

My Borneo Blood does the same thing I have never had any problems with feeding or R.I. My temps are in the same range as yours.

I mean this in the utmost literal sense. She NEVER does anything but sleep in her moss. She's the laziest snake I've ever seen, guess that's why they get so fat huh? lol Okay, well if it's nothing to worry about, so be it I guess. Plus, who knows, since they're nocturnal she probably slithers around while I'm sleeping but I very much doubt it.
