Hey guys,
I've posted here before (not recently however). I've always loved collareds, and have dabbled with the idea of getting some for a long time. Anyways, in the case that I do decide I have the resources to obtain a pair or trio of these interesting lizards, I've done research in order to narrow down the species/subspecies that really interest me.
I've narrowed down to C. dickersonae and C. collaris subspecies. From my limited understanding, dickersonae are less comon than other collareds and more difficult to keep, right?
C. collaris subspecies have me confused. As I understand from Will Wells's article, there are four ssp. What are the distinguishing factors between the different subspecies? Also, which subspecies are commonly availiable? Finally, Yellowheads, Aquaflames, etc...Do these names refer to subspecies, locales, color phases, "designer" intergrades of species/subspecies, morphs, or what?
Anyways, I apologise for the lengthy post.
Thanks!!
