Something Small?

Grunngg Mar 27, 2006 02:08 AM

I'd like to get another lizard and I need some ideas. I'd like something smaller, that would be happy in a 10gallon tank. I don't want anymore geckos and I dont care for Anoles. I'd like something that also be fairly handlable. Could you guys give me some suggestions?

try maybe an armadillo lizard.they are easy to keep usually feed well and dont need more than a ten gallon.also if you become interested in breeding them they are live bearers.another tropical live bearer is bark lizard or tropical night lizard.i recieved a pair at a herp show a few years back and bred them(their also live bearers).the nights do better in a rainforest cage while the armadillos ive kept in a desert or savanna type cage but ive heard you can use a rainforest type also.another consideration is any of the smaller skinks like red sided skins, goldens, sandfish,or fivelines wich can all fit in a ten gallon.hope this helps

I'll definitly look into those skinks. And the night lizards. I have an Armadill Lizard. cool little animal, but sadly i can never get close to it. its very skittish. I need to post a picture. Tehy guy at the show sold it to me as an Armadillo Lizard. But from pictures ive seen, i think it may be a girdled lizard..
