Home Depot in Del Rio and more growth

rak Mar 27, 2006 07:41 AM

Del rio is growing and growing pretty fast. Homedepot should be open by June, as well as a quizno's opening, a new Hampton Inn, little ceaser's pizza, jack in the box and a TON of people moving into town. My wife is a realtor here in Del Rio, and I can not believe the calls she gets, especially from California. There are no less then two new housing developments going in by the lake, and property values are skyrocketing. One house she sold to couple from California jumped in value $80,000 dollars in two years! That house is not even at the lake. Every since the Bass masters tourny here a couple weeks ago, which had the highest/heaviest catches ever, the interest in Del rio has grown even more. Anyway there should be alot more options coming May/june.

Yeah, but the room rates will probably go up as well.

The Desert Hills, Sticky floors and all has been remodled and is now The Cileto Lindo. Now I don't know if the rooms are any better, but they redid the outside. Of Course, I always have Mi casa.
