basking beardies

small_town36 Mar 27, 2006 11:28 AM

Got the little beardies through their drive and settle in their new illegal home (my residence room) lol. Drive went good it was a pretty warm day and the tank never got below 80 on the whole drive. However i have a question about heating. Is it alright to make the primary basking spot a raised hammock? I have a two foot high tank and the heat in the basking side from the ground is about 96 degrees. Although when you take temp from the raised hammock it is about 110 - 120 is this alright to use as the basking area?

As long as the dragon has easy access to and from the hammock, it should be fine.
