different pastel lines.......

repzoo44 Mar 27, 2006 03:14 PM

can you guys post some pics of adult pastels from the varying lines. Im curious to see the difference. I finish school in a few months and will hopefully get my first morph now that I will have more time on my hands. Im definitely getting a pastel, probably a stonewashed but I want to see them as adults. Also if anyone has a super stonewashed that would be great. I have looked around at some sites, but I seem to be missing the adults. Thanks for playing.

I've posted Him before, but here's my '03 male Blonde pastel...

As pastels tend to brown out, try to look at adults to find a good looking one. Also, know that there are ugly and good lookers on each line. A name doesn't always mean quality.

good luck and have fun!

in my honest opinion they're all basically the same, and i have heard from several people that alot of animals are being sold as a specific line whether they truly are or not. i've seen bell lines and graziani's that you couldn't tell the difference between them. there have been "so called" blondes that don't even look as good as a bell or graziani but cost a good bit more.
like the other post said, they all tend to brown out as they get older, and a nice looking pastel can produce some ugly babies and vice versa.
here's my graziani. sorry about pic quality.

Here is my graziani pastel, I think he was like 600 grams or so in this pic.

All pastel can be great and all pastels can be bad. Its the female they breed to that make all the difference.

Selective breeding is KEY!

This is a 1600 gram 4 year old male.
