Do I have to worry much about toxic plants for Tokay Geckos? I bought a few 99cent plants at Home Depot and I dont know what kind they are. One of them has some yellow in it and I wasnt sure if that was a sign of it being toxic.

Also, I bought a bag of top soil for my tanks. I went to petsmart to get that Prevent-A-Mite stuff but they were sold out. I dont think they are going to get any more because the DeFlea Reptile Relief stuff, by the same company, is on sale for 50% off, on clearence I think. Can I get away with just spraying that DeFlea stuff in the tank? I'm sure its not as good, but I guess its better then nothing..

I would go back to Home Depot and find out exactly what plant it was you purchased or plan to purchase. There are a lot of plants in the tropical section that are harmless but not all. An employee should know what the name is or another plant may have a tag. Otherwise a trip to the libary for a plant book maybe in order to help identify what plant it is.

As far as toxicity to Tokay Geckos, thats beyond me seeing as though I don't raise them.

Also I use provent a mite and stick by it I can't speak for the other stuff, but there are a number of online resalers that stock provent a mite. I would just ordered some, it shouldn't be more than a week.
