Okay so i have lamps and everything for my one boa tank which didn't seem to suffice for heat. Now i have installed a zoo med heat pad under the hot side of the tank. When i checked with my tempgun the top side of the glass over the heat pad was at 112 degrees f. Is this to hot if the snake moves the substrate and lays directly on the glass? What if i put a magazine between the heat pad and glass?
