Not feeding right away after mites...

-ryan- Mar 27, 2006 09:54 PM

My BP has been mite free for a little bit after two weeks of treatment, and he recently shed (two days ago). I have tried to feed him yesterday and today, and he doesn't seem to want anything to do with it. How long will it probably take to get him back into feeding again? He's been off feed for about a month now, and I know the stress must have been hard on him. He's a little skinnier now than he was before the treatment, and I want to get the weight back on him.

Depends on what you used to get rid of the mites in the end...

If you used nix, your snake will probably die...

Just kidding, he'll probably start eating again soon, be patient, balls have been known to go off feed for more than a year without ill effects. How big is he?

He just ate two small mice today! One in the morning, and he's sending one down right now. He's about 18-20" long. Just a baby. His feeding response is better than ever right now. I'll put a new post about it up top. I was really suprised.
