beardie having trouble moving arms

kritterkeeper Mar 28, 2006 05:56 PM

Hi everybody. I have a female beardie about 2.5 yrs old. I noticed her over the week end seeming to have problems moving her front arms. I planned on calling the vet Monday morning, but during the week en she laid about 20 eggs. (Who knew?) We have a vet appt in the morning, and now she is starting to move her front legs again. They were so limp I really thought they were broken. Could it be she was just so heaviy with eggs that her little arms just gave out? She is drinking but still hasnt eaten since laying. Anybody got any info for me. I'm still taking her in tomorrow, but would like to hear what y'all think. I think I will get her spayed. I felt really sorry for her going thru all this.
Thanx for any help.

I am so sorry to hear of your trouble. I have never heard of front leg problems during egg laying. I hope she is doing better. Please post an update for us after your vet visit.

Good luck!
