Subject of large chameleons....

I saw the other thread, but couldn't post until I got this computer working.

The largest panther chameleon we have had experience with was also named "Goliath". He was an imported Ambilobe a few years back. This first pic was taken shortly after he arrived in the U.S.

This picture was some time later. We don't recall his length, but he was 400 grams in this picture. He is in one of our 4" tall enclosures, and the mesh in the background has 1" squares. That might help for perspective.

A friend of ours said his biggest panther was just over 500 grams (another import). So... the wild-caughts do appear to be larger than most CBB's.

I posted the original message, and wow- quite frankly I had no idea Panthers got THAT large! Whewy, thanks for the info! Do you know how long he is Snout to tip of tail?

The nosey there, did he happen to have a small nip on the end of his tail? Just a tiny tiny bit off the end?

My mestake. Looked like a Blue to me.

And it also looks very much like a chameleon of someone I know.

I was genuinely curious.
