eggs hatching

I have 5 peacock chameleon eggs that have allready been incubating for 5 months and have sweated and shrunk.Does anyone
know how long they should stay in the egg after they have shrunkin down.Can I cut a small hole in the eggs to help them out. Will someone please let me know. Thanks

Usually, animals that don't make it out of the eggs on their own don't survive after helped hatching anyways. Afterall, we already make it extrememly easy for them to hatch by not leaving them under 12 inches of sand...
