This is U flavifasciata Vonnie. A number of people have these -Doug D, John C, me....... They do not come in often so that is why they might appear to be new to some.

thanks for the info, i need to print out a chart of all the uros with their scientific names and then all the common names that they can go by. overtime i have come to realize there are alot less species of uros than i originally thought, the easiest case being that geyri/nigerian/saharan are the same thing

I am pleased to be working with them again, last time was about 4-5 years ago. Now I can realy compare them with the solid black Uro's..

Robert,

I might have spoke too soon with my above response saying these were U flavifasciata as now that I look at the yellow, it is very similar to some that Doug used to have on his website listed as banded mali. The white banded one is identical to the flavifasciata I own but not certain on the yellow now that I am looking at both more closely. .
Were these purchased from someone who has had them for a while or did a shipment come in that I did not hear about.
Was the yellow sold as U flavifasciata?

Good eye, I was waiting for someone to catch that. The male is true but the female is a banded Mali. Both are from Doug, he couldnt spare a true female. I am still looking for that.
Also still looking for your adult pics of the black Uro's?
Robert
