I have a six foot Boiga Dendrophila Dendrophila that I feed mice. She is up to three adult mice every 7-10 days. She is so slender that I have always thought more smaller food would be best but was wondering what you guys feed your adults. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance, Eric-

Mine are 4'ers and feed on 2 fuzzy rats every two weeks. Will be upgrading very soon.

My 4ft mang eats 1 adult mouse twice a week.
I feel they do better being fed more often than your average snake.

they seem to have a very high metabolism. Anyone have an adult that they feed anything larger than mice?

My adults did well on small adult rats, one every two weeks.

My 185 cm male melanota eats 250 gram rats. Or so he did only once. Somehow i dont think he liked the taste *G*, since he hasnt been taking rats since. But mice and chicks are also eaten.
It may sound large, but you could hardly see the lump in his belly and it went down very quick.

Boiga can take rather large prey items.

I have no input on B. d. dendrophila, but am currently keeping a one-year-old pair of melanota. They are 125-130 cm (a tad more than 4 ft, I reckon) and take 2 adult mice per week. I used to keep a 230 cm (8 ft) female that would take a couple of medium-sized rats (120-150 g) every other week.
