i have a snake that i picked up because it was cool looking.i keep kings and was told it was a cal king. i thought it was a mixed breed corn x king what do you think? it has 23 scale rows

I don't think it's a Corn / Cal King hybrid. To me it looks more like a brooksi / californiae crossbreed. The speckled blotches and the pattern in the neck region reminds me a lot of brooksi.

That's the problem with all these hybrids going around these days, you just can't be 100% sure about what you buy anymore. I don't think it's an ugly snake, in fact I like it a lot, and it will probably make a great pet. But please don't make the problem bigger than it already is by breeding it.

Whos to say for sure man. looks like its got brooksi, maybe some golpher. there are alot of beautiful hybrids but in my opinion it should stop. none of us should buy into it.A cool looking snake none the less.You should stick to natural intergrades and pure blood,to avoid stuff like this.It is hard not to appreciate some of the beauty in that snake though.

I have a friend with a "jungle corn" or corn by king and it looks a LOT like that! Nice snake!
