Is it a bad idea to keep 2 Cubans of the same size together?

I had two females both fairly big caught them in my yard (Miami) within 2 weeks of each other .
They ate great never the slightest problem at all had them both in 30 gallon tall . I wouldnt keep a male and Female as such big difference but you said same size so its fine.
I never heard of them trying to eat the other being roughly same size . I used to see them by my yards back light by car port and noticed the smal ones would avoid or leave when the big ones came but all the ones together eating bugs were roughly same size.
Two yrs ago they all disapeared even the green treefrogs which were still all over even with the way bigger Cubans .
Someone in chat told me we have Tokays but I have never seen one or heard one.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I've had them together now for a few weeks, and they seem to like each other. I'm pretty sure they are both Cubans. I'm new to keeping reptiles and amphibians. I work in a greenhouse in Maryland, and we get tropical plants shipped from Florida, along with treefrogs and green anoles. Usually find the tree frogs burrowed into the cups of the Corn plants. They would probably end up getting put in someones office, stepped on, or not able to find enough food. So I've been taking them home. Have 4 treefrogs, and 3 green Anoles, dispersed among 4 tanks. Oh, I need some info on determining the sex of these guys, or girls. I've heard about the ear size, and something about the toe pads. thanks again!
