I sold my breeding pair to a friend who took them home,gave them a bigger habitat, and introduced his female to the pair. The male bit the new female rather aggresively on the head and the older female bit her tail. She has been removed from the setup. The older girl layed eggs this morning. Is this behavior typical? I understood them to breed well in harems so was this behavior because my female was gravid? Should he try to reintroduce them again or maybe just the male to the new girl? He had hoped they would live together. The cage is a 20 long with two hides and all the basic requirements. Any ideas? Thanks.
