phelsuma Mar 30, 2006 07:18 PM

Hi this has probably been asked a hundred times but here goes which type of dimmer switch do you use for flexwatt 3" 10watt 20' of flex in a 10 tub rack system ? I put in a light dimmer switch and it popped it burnt up .So maybe a fan rheostat would work they (lowes) have them at 1.5 amps and at 5 amps. I would appreciate any comments . Thanks

Actually your one of the first.

Go back to the hardware store and find a good high wattage dimmer switch. They come in 600watt and a 1000watt, and probally bigger. The wattage you are talking about is only 200 so I would just get a bigger dimmer.
Good Luck
Jeremy
