weird male

jnjreptiles Mar 30, 2006 08:31 PM

We got this 2700 gram male from its original owner who could not take care of him any longer. He was imported as a sub adult 12 years ago. Had a lot of good feedback from some big names wanted a few more opinions. He is on breeding loan now and will be proven one way or another this year.

Sorry about the pics they were with our old camera and come out crappy. He looks 100 times better in person

JnJ if that snake is a male and 2700 grams and Imported 12 years ago, I am wondering why it has not been proven yet? I would have thought someone would have bred it say 10 years ago. It should have at least had a few clutches by now. Good luck with the snake. It's really large are you sure it is a MALE. I purchased a very large 2,000 plus gram burgandy male from someone for 50.00 around 2 years ago, I bought it to breed with a female burgandy that I had, well after a few weeks in with my female and never seeing them breed I decided to throw a combat male in with them, well needless to say the two males locked up, and a few months later the Burgandy female laid 10 eggs. Here is a picture of her with my cinnamon. Thanks david

The guy we got him from had it for a pet, thats all it was to him. He thought it was a female and just never wanted anything more than a pet from him. We got him in january because the owner had some personal problems and could not take care of him, so we took it in.Upon arriving my wife called me when I was in town and said get the hell home this isnt just a striped ball. I almost passed put when I saw him. We thought he was a she to,the fact that he was bought before the female ball craze, we got it for free so we figured it was true , the size was a big facture too. We sent him to a friend of ours with a big collection to breed with his butter poss. het ghost and it didnt breed. They started a little combat, so on the advise of another experienced breeder he put it with a female and he locked up instantly. We are going to breed him to 4 big girls this year to prove him out, then if he proves its on! He is breeding a 3800 gram female now with no problems, he is just so big .We will let every one know what he proves out as , everyone thats seen him in person is thinking mojave type from the blushing, ,eyes, color. general pattern, and a few other key components. The pics do not do him any justice. We will see.
