Probing

phiber_optikx Mar 31, 2006 03:06 AM

Ordered a probe set tonight. So hopefully I will be 100% on all my snakes before the week is through. Accept my mbk. He is an exit only and it usually exits towards my eye Might need some pointers in a few.

Just remember, they are not quite as fragile as you might fear when first learning to probe.
Be firm but gentle and you should do fine.
Oh yeah, for me, it was easier to practice on a snake I was already sure about.
Actually two snakes. A male and a female.
This gave me a great indication as to what to look for.
I try to probe right before feeding time. At least this way they should be pretty much empty of waste.
The quicker I am the less likely to get musked.
But at least it is "just" musk and not poop to go with it...lol
Anyway, I think you will learn quickly...

Why would you want to probe a rock. Planning on having baby pebbles? How do you insert a probe into a rock anyway? LOL. I just have this visual of someone holding a rock and a probe thinking "hhhhmmmm?"

Just had to pick on you!

First you have to take a power drill to it so you have something to probe I wonder if owners probe their anacondas and rocks the same way they do an alligator (fingers)
