First bite

nazza Mar 31, 2006 07:25 AM

Today, for a stupid error, my big male has bitten me.
he was eating a piece of a newspaper with a piece of chicken, so I tried to take out from his mouth the paper... well, in one second my entire inch was in his mouth and he was chewing powerfully. I tried to gently open his mouth unsuccesfully, so I waited a few, long, seconds until he understood i'm too big to swallow. It's incredible how powerful are his jaws, was really painful.
ciao

The feeding response bites are the worse! Drys are like Marines, keep your hands far away from their food, especially while they are eating!
My first Dry bite was out of feeding response. It was just a nip, but left three inches of exposed bone on my left middle finger.
Great to hear about the eggs, always enjoy your photos and sorry to hear about your first "Dry" bite...

Best regards,

Jeff
