This was a small female at 1200 grams when she was added to the breeding season and had copulated 6 times from Dec 13 to feb 3 and after that day on showed no interest in the male. On Feb 7 large folicles were felt.
For the last 6 meals she refused 4 meals and put on the weight.
On feb 7 the scale said 1340 grams...I was hopeful and on mar 20 she went into shed and shed on mar 29 and is very dark?? is this suppose to happen when they are gravid?
My next question is she still refused food today and looks smaller then she done in the past so I put her on the scale and it said 1195 grams?? either I have a cheap scale or something went wrong?
Temps in the cage for the last few weeks are 95 basking area and 84 cage temp.
I am a boa breeder at heart and this is the first year with balls...I would not be that diapointed this year if I fail but want to work the bugs out for next year.
Any thoughts from the pros would be great. And thanks for reading this long post.
